G'day George. The mallets went well stick & balling on Tuesday. I'll be playing chukkers on Saturday so will get a good chance to test them out... will let you know. Cheers.
Thanks for your message, It's great to hear that the future of polo is bright in your part of the world and well done on your promotions.
A reasonable part of our composite mallet sales have always been for lady players as the shaft weight can be reduced by about 50 grams over a cane mallet. Particularly with the only type of cane available now being so much heavier than in the past, the latest model Fibercane is rapidly gaining popularity at all levels.
Of course, I would love to hear your ideas. Give me a call or drop me an email. My web site is www.woodmallets.com
Hi George!
I have the first ladies Polo Team in Brazil, THE AMAZONS POLO TEAM. We have been playing internationally as well as all over Brazil and helping the image of the Sport grow publicly through the media that we attract. In less then two years the results are visible. Clubs that had no quorum are now overbooked with new students learning to play Polo. With more then half of them being women! We presently have approximately 600 players in Brazil. I believe this number will double in the next 3 years. Polo has even been featured in a couple of Soap operas already! In other words, Brazil, three times Champions of the Polo World Cup, has a growing market for Polo and a possibility for you to grow your business.
I have met Robert Freeman-Kerr last year while playing the club's Ladies Cup at Edgeworth and he showed me your mallets.
I have some ideas which may interest you.
If you wish to talk about it, let me know.
Regards,
Kristie Hanbury
