I can highly recommend the Anglo Argentine Polo School managed by Diego Llaneza, it has excellent programs for what you seem to be looking for, Of all facilities in Argentina it stands out as the very best.

THE SPORT OF POLO

"As a sport, polo is hard, highly competitive, and full of risk. Beyond the game's obvious glamour and beauty is a hidden world of endless toil and effort. For these reasons, and for the tenacity, the character, and the cool mind it demands, I cannot conceive polo as anything but a sport of gentlemen, and in the modern world, ladies. The game additionally requires a noble sporting spirit, a sense of camaraderie, and - one need hardly say so - a great love of horses".
Juan Carlos Harriot - (Introduction - Polo, by Susan Barrantes)

Ian,

If you do come to Tulsa, I will see to it that you are well mounted. I'm sure that Joey and Joe will do the same, but you are welcome at my place anytime.

I wish that I had known you a year or two ago. I have reduced our playing string from 40+ to only the best that I play personally. I sold a bunch of horses that were safe for beginners to relatively new players in Missourri and Texas. I do know of two very nice, safe horses that used to be in my string that were for sale this winter. I can make a call or two and see if they are still available. I cant vouch for them since I have not had them in my care, and have not played them recently, but they were very nice horses when I sold them.

If they are still available, I would think that they will fetch 6 to 8 thousand, even in these hard times. Is that within your club-horse budget?

Bonjour Ian

I don't think I know Jennifer Mack, I saw her on here and requested her to be a friend. I do know Santi. A very nice guy Santi! You used to live in Argentina? Do you visit there at all? I will check the message you sent me, good luck with the facility you are starting! Is there much polo where you are?

I started a group on this site for the polo club I manage...to let people know what we are doing and become a part of the global polo community...I'll be doing a blog during the season...join if you would like!

Was great being with you and Joey on Friday, you all deserve the best of success with Palm City, which got me thinking...................I hope to be back in April/May.

Take care, Ian
